Oyedele Leads Nigeria’s Economic Engagements at IMF/World Bank Meetings in Bangkok
Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, to lead the country’s delegation to the 2026 Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group.
The meetings, scheduled for October 12 to 18, will provide a platform for global economic leaders to discuss pressing economic challenges, development financing and policies to promote sustainable growth.
Nigeria is expected to use the gathering to engage international financial institutions and development partners on issues relating to its economic priorities.
The discussions come as the Federal Government continues to pursue reforms aimed at strengthening economic stability, attracting investments and creating an enabling environment for businesses to grow and generate employment.
Oyedele’s participation is expected to offer opportunities to exchange views on global economic developments and explore areas of cooperation that could support Nigeria’s economic objectives.
Updates on the minister’s engagements and other activities involving the Nigerian delegation are expected as the meetings continue.
