APC Inaugurates Digital & New Media Sub-Committee for National Convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Digital & New Media Sub-Committee for the forthcoming National Convention of the Party today held its inaugural meeting in a hybrid format (physical and virtual) at the Niger State Government Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.

The meeting marks a significant step in the Party’s preparations for a seamless and digitally-driven National Convention, with a strong emphasis on strategic communication, real-time engagement, and effective dissemination of information.

The Sub-Committee is tasked with managing the Party’s digital strategy for the convention. Its core responsibilities include coordinating social media engagement, overseeing live digital coverage of convention activities, and developing and distributing online content across various platforms.

The committee is chaired by the Executive Governor of Niger State, H.E. Mohammed Umar Bago, with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, serving as Co-Chairman.

During the meeting, members discussed key strategies to ensure robust digital coverage and active online participation before, during, and after the convention. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology and new media tools to enhance transparency, accessibility, and engagement with party members and the general public.

The APC continues to demonstrate its readiness to adopt innovative approaches in party organization and communication as it prepares for a successful National Convention.
