Commissioner Of Police Joins NLC Nationwide Protests Over Hardship
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, is among those leading the ongoing two-day massive protest in the state over the bad state of the economy in the country.
In a photograph, CP Fayoade, together with his team, was seen marching with thousands of residents along Awolowo way, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The members of the Nigerian Labour Congress and other concerned citizens on Tuesday began the massive protest across the country.
The protesters were seen in their large numbers on the streets of Lagos State and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to demand immediate intervention from the Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian Government to ease the hardships citizens are currently facing in the country.
They are also protesting the government’s alleged failure to implement agreements reached between both parties on October 2, 2023, following the removal of the fuel subsidy.
The decision followed the conclusion of a 14-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government to implement measures against the widespread hardship.
