Information reaching Ibom Focus says that Twitter Back Online After An Hour-long Crash

Twitter is back online after being down for thousands of users worldwide who had issues with the website, app and logging in, DailyMail reports.

Problems began around 12:50pm ET on Monday and were impacting some users in the U.S., the U.K., New Zealand and other countries – but the crash appeared to be fixed around 1:30pm ET.

Many users said tweets are not refreshing or they are being kicked out of their accounts and forced to log back in.

It is not clear what caused the crash or the exact number of users impacted.\

DownDetector, a website that monitors online outages, showed a spike in issue reports just after 12:30pm ET.

By 12:52pm ET, more than 3,000 users in the U.S. had reported problems with the social media network and around the same time, some 1,800 users in the UK also reported issues to DownDetector.

It is not uncommon for social media platforms to crash, but the last time Twitter was down was October 4, over a month ago.

Other social media platforms, specifically those owned by Meta – Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, have experienced outages every few weeks lately.
