SCHOOLS RESUMPTION: A’ibom Govt announces New date for 2nd term academic session
The Akwa ibom state government are ordered All public and private primary and secondary schools in the State to resume on Monday, February 1, 2021, State Governor Udom Emmanuel has approved.
This was announced by the Akwa ibom state Commissioner of Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet, on Friday, January 29.
She said students are to resume to the school for the second Term 2020/2021 academic session which will be closed on April 1.
“School authority are encouraged to guarantee instructors complete their scheduled curriculum plan for the term in consistence with the State Government’s mandate,” Mrs Etiebet expressed.
She said guardians and parents ought to guarantee their kids and wards are appropriately kitted day by day with facemasks.
Mrs Etiebiet said guardians are likewise expected to furnish their students and wards with all the essential course readings and writing materials.
The Education Commissioner charged school management to guarantee the arrangement of hand-washing offices including running water, hand sanitisers and thermometers while guaranteeing that students, pupils and teachers consent to physical separating inside the school premises.

Recall, the federal government of nigeria earlier Directed all Schools to resume on 18 January, 2021 which so many Schools was resumed then, while others were resumed on 25 January, 2021 and some still expect to resume on February.
Though higher institutions in Akwa ibom state like university of Uyo, Akwa State University were all resumed, was only left for primary and secondary schools to resumed.
Now both primary and secondary schools are expected to resumed February and also close on April for the second term.
