NiDCOM Commends Nigerian Center On U.S. Department Of Justice Recognition

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has congratulated the Nigerian Center on its recognition and accreditation by the United States Department of Justice under the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) Recognition and Accreditation Programme.

According to her this recognition reflects the Nigerian Center’s dedication, credibility, and steady commitment to supporting immigrant communities in the United States. The accreditation enables the Center to expand its immigration legal services, offering guidance and representation to immigrants, particularly those from low-income and underserved backgrounds.

Dabiri Erewa also noted that this achievement is a proud moment for Nigerian-led diaspora organisations. It highlights the positive contributions Nigerians continue to make in their host communities and reinforces the growing impact of diaspora institutions built on service and professionalism.

She highlighted access to trusted and culturally responsive legal support remains critical for immigrants navigating complex immigration processes. The Nigerian Center’s accreditation by the U.S. Department of Justice strengthens its capacity to serve as a reliable resource for Nigerians and other African immigrants.

The NiDCOM boss commended the Head of the Nigerian Center, Mr. Gbenga Ogunjimi, and his entire team for their dedication and hard work, urging them to sustain the high standards that earned this recognition and to continue making meaningful impact within the diaspora community.
