Police Arrest Josh Wade, Alleged Blackmailer And Ex-fiancé Of Nollywood Actress
Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah’s ex-fiance, Geroge Wade, who reportedly became a blackmailer after their separation has been arrested in Liberia.
Njama in a now deleted post disclosed Wade’s arrest via her Instagram page on Monday, where she had shared a video of the ex-lover being led in handcuffs by some police officers.
Attached to the video is a text, “Our God is not asleep. @empressnjamah’s blackmailer finally caught in Liberia.”
Njama had sometime in 2022 accused Wade of domestic abuse and blackmail after their relationship went sour.
In December 2022, Njama reportedly revealed that the engagement video posted on her Instagram page earlier in the month was made under duress, adding that she had been scammed, beaten and held hostage by Wade before her eventual escape.
The actress was quoted by The Punch as saying, “He wrecked me, finished everything. This person I’m telling you actually got a ring and forced me to do a video, which he posted on my page because he has access to my page. He changed all the passwords, logged me out of every email I have, everything I have, all my phones, my iCloud, everything, I don’t have access to anything, I don’t mind.
“I’m alive to tell you the story, I was able to run that night, I ran into the street, not minding who or how, I fell into a gutter. I was able to see a mallam to ask for a phone. I called my brother and he picked me from the hospital, and the following morning, took me home.”
But after she escaped from the ex-lover, he reportedly continued to threaten the actress and allegedly leaked Njama’s nude pictures and videos via a WhatsApp group chat in which he added blogs and several people.
Njama reportedly said that the sex tape was secretly recorded by Wade and that he is the one in the video with her but that he hid his face.
In a video that went viral on the internet a few weeks ago, Wade threatened the Nollywood actress saying, “I swear to God, you don’t know what’s coming. I know your day to day activities.”
